Eco Council
We are proud to hold an Eco School Green Flag status and our Eco Council continue to work hard to ensure we do our best to look after our planet. Our mission is to help make Tarves Primary School sustainable and to instil a sense of environmental awareness in our pupils so that good habits are followed through and supported in homes and communities.
Eco-Schools is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life.
Eco-Schools enhances our varied curriculum and unites us as a school to help tackle important sustainability and environmental issues by reducing our waste, reusing what we can and recycling as much as possible.
We have also planted a variety of insect and bee-friendly plants to support and encourage wildlife to visit our school. We love to watch the birds nesting and find out what critters have enjoyed a stay in our very popular bug hotel!
